The corporate-focused, affordable Mazda6 ‘Business Line’ model is now available through Mazda Contract Hire at a special rate of £229.99 a month.
Vehicles are available for delivery within 14 days compared to some motor manufacturers where delivery cannot be guaranteed for three months or more.
The 2.2-litre MZR-CD 129ps diesel five-door hatchback has emissions of 133g/km, combined cycle fuel economy of 55.4mpg and carries an on-the-road price tag of £18,305.
A combination of competitive on-the-road pricing coupled with ‘low’ emissions for an upper medium sector model means that company car drivers will pay benefit-in-kind tax of £60.43 (20% taxpayer) monthly and £120.87 (40% taxpayer).
The ‘Business Line’ model, which was launched last year, is specifically targeted at fleets and small businesses and is available in one highly specified model with Sanyo TomTom satellite navigation, Bluetooth® technology and 17-inch alloy wheels. In addition, this model includes Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control System (TCS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) as well as front, side and curtain airbags, cruise control and dual-zone climate control air-conditioning, features all expected by todays company car driver.
The lease deal is based on 36 months non-maintained agreement with metallic paint (Black Mica, Sunlight Silver Metallic and Stormy Blue Mica) and with a mileage of 10,000 miles per annum. First payment in advance is equal to three monthly rentals (£690 + VAT), followed by 35 monthly rentals (£229.99+ VAT).
This offer is currently available until September 30, 2012 through Mazda Contract Hire and the Mazda franchise network.
Leading motoring magazine Auto Express named the Mazda6 ‘Business Line’ as the ‘Best Business Car’ in its recent ‘Britain’s Top Penny Pinchers’ article (Issue No. 1193).
The publication said: “It Is possible to bag a comfortable motorway cruiser that’ll cost you no more to run than a top-of-the-range supermini…..the low 133g/km CO2 emissions and tempting £18,305 price tag make the Mazda a bargain for benefit-in-kind taxpayers……An excellent driving position, low noise levels and punchy 2.2-litre diesel engine help take the strain out of long motorway journeys…sharp and engaging handling owes much to the brand’s racy MX-5 roadster. You can revel in a fuel-sipping 55.4mpg return at the pumps. Climbing behind the wheel for a long-haul trip now makes more financial sense than ever.”
Mazda Head of Fleet Steve Tomlinson said: “The Mazda6 ‘Business Line’ represents fantastic value for a fun-to-drive car with the style, performance and features of our most successful fleet model.”
“Also, take into account a residual value of 41 per cent at three years/30,000 as forecasted by CAP (April 2012) and immediate model availability and we anticipate further significant corporate interest in the Mazda6 ‘Business Line’.”
Tomlinson added: “For fleets the lack of availability of a new company car can prove costly, while for drivers such delays are frustrating. The options facing businesses are typically to defleet on schedule and then hire a vehicle for the interim period or extend the replacement cycles which, for outright purchase fleets means a lower second hand value on the current vehicle or, for leased fleets, paying to extend the contract.”
“However, such problems are not encountered when ordering the Mazda6 ‘Business Line’ as stock is available across the Mazda UK network.”
