With the launch of the all-new Mazda CX-5 imminent – featuring for the first time on a production model, Mazda’s innovative SKYACTIV technology – Mazda Authorised Repairers are geared up for the new technology learns MazdaSocial.

Through the use of this newly developed SKYACTIV body structure and a larger proportion of high-tensile steel – the proportion has grown from 40 to 60 per cent – the weight of the car is reduced by 8 per cent while increasing the strength. The benefit is that lighter cars also mean less wear on brakes and tyres.”
