Mazda’s aftersales service is geared up for SKYACTIV technology

Mazda Authorised Repairers declare they are fully prepared for the new SKYACTIV technology

With the launch of the all-new Mazda CX-5 imminent – featuring for the first time on a production model, Mazda’s innovative SKYACTIV technology – Mazda Authorised Repairers are geared up for the new technology learns MazdaSocial.

Aftersales Director David Wilson-Green said: “The key benefit for customers is the high level of confidence and reassurance in Mazda franchised aftersales service, because the foundation for SKYACTIV technology is optimising existing standard technology – internal combustion and lightweight engineering – while delivering customer savings through excellent fuel economy and low emissions, without compromising on performance. Dealers have the knowledge to service and repair cars without any heavy investment in training and equipment.”

“Servicing costs will continue to be highly competitive and parts pricing will offer our customers great value during the whole ownership period. Service intervals also stay the same at 12,500 miles/annually.”

“Similarly, in the unfortunate event of an accident, our network of approved bodyshops is tooled up for repairing high-tensile steel featured in the body of the CX-5. Through the use of this newly developed SKYACTIV body structure and a larger proportion of high-tensile steel – the proportion has grown from 40 to 60 per cent – the weight of the car is reduced by 8 per cent while increasing the strength. The benefit is that lighter cars also mean less wear on brakes and tyres.”

“Our proven track record of fixing customers cars right first time will be maintained because SKYACTIV technology doesn’t reinvent the wheel. Customers can have absolute confidence in their Mazda dealer to deliver great service and exceptional value through every year they own their Mazda,” concludes Wilson-Green.
