The Mazda CX-30 has triumphed in the German AUTO ZEITUNG’s Design Trophy 2020. The latest model in the Mazda crossover family was launched last autumn and has since become the brand’s best-selling model in Germany.
In the 2020 Design Trophy, the Mazda CX-30 won in the SUV category with 17% of all votes, ahead of both the Audi Q3 Sportback and Land Rover Defender.
The crossover also succeeded in the most prestigious category “Champion of all Classes” with 10.7% of all votes and relegated the Ferrari Roma and the Porsche 911 Cabrio to the back of the field.
In total, 8,270 AUTO ZEITUNG and autozeitung.de readers participated in the voting for the Design Trophy, which took place between 18 March and 29 April 2020.
The success story of the Mazda CX-30 began with its launch in autumn 2019. The stylish crossover has already been awarded the 2019 Golden Steering Wheel, won the 2020 Red Dot Design Award, earned five stars and the highest safety rating in the Euro NCAP, and been a finalist for the 2020 World Car of the Year Award.
