The Mazda MX-5 was awarded for the sixth time in a row in the “Best Cars Awards” from the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport. In the readers’ poll, the roadster icon was the winner in the convertible category, with 9.8 percent of the votes. This year, the Mazda MX-5 is ahead of the Ferrari Roma Spider with 8.7 percent and the Aston Martin DB12 Volante with 8.1 percent of reader votes.
92,798 readers and online users of Auto Motor und Sport voted in the 48th edition of the competition, which included 455 models in 13 vehicle categories. All results of the award for the “Best Cars 2024” can be read in the current issue of Auto Motor und Sport (5/2024).
On 9th February, the Mazda MX-5 celebrated its 35th anniversary. The date marks the roadster’s debut at the Chicago Auto Show.
