Mazda’s busy 2015 delivers the industry’s youngest line-up

Thanks to an unprecedented year of new model launches, which has seen the debut of three all-new models, plus substantially revised 2015 model year versions of the CX-5 and Mazda6, Mazda’s stylish and spirited range is now one of the youngest in the industry.

The entire Mazda range now features award-winning SKYACTIV technology and eye-catching KODO: Soul of Motion design. Having only made its debut in January 2014, the Mazda3 is now the most established car in the range, highlighting just how extensive Mazda’s new model onslaught has been.

Launched in March, the all-new Mazda2 range is priced from £11,995 to £17,395 on-the-road (OTR) with a five level grade structure – SE, SE-L, SE-L Nav, Sport and Sport Nav. Bringing new levels of technical sophistication, driving pleasure and active safety to the B-Segment, attractive finance offers ensure the all-new Mazda2 is also a great value proposition in the ultra-competitive supermini marketplace. Since the 1st September, the range has been boosted by the all-new Mazda2 Sport Black special edition, which offers extra standard equipment and enhanced personalisation in a stylish and great value package.

Summer 2015 saw the debut of the all-new Mazda CX-3, Mazda’s first small-SUV. With an 18-strong model line-up priced from £17,595 to £24,695 on-the-road (OTR), the newcomer’s style, quality and generous equipment tally help it stand out from other small crossovers in the market place. Available with 120ps and 150ps SKYACTIV-G petrol, plus 105ps SKYACTIV-D diesel engines, all versions of the sophisticated all-new Mazda CX-3 feature MZD-Connect with 7-inch colour touchscreen and Multimedia commander, while Sport Nav models are fitted with Mazda’s Active Driving Display system – a segment first head-up display system.

Mazda’s busy 2015 has also seen revised versions of the award-winning Mazda CX-5 and stylish Mazda6 arrive in dealerships. Across the 28-strong Saloon and Tourer range, the 2015 Mazda6 features improved standard equipment and refreshed styling. Across the 2015 Mazda CX-5 range, new sound insulation measures have improved refinement and reduced wind noise to ensure premium levels of refinement, while revised suspension settings have improved ride quality at the same time as maintaining the CX-5’s class-leading dynamics and handling.

In a year that sees Mazda continue to increase year-on-year sales growth, the recent arrival of the all-new Mazda MX-5 completes an exceptional eight months of model rollouts. Having made its UK public debut at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Mazda celebrated its new models and illustrious sporting heritage as Central Feature Marque, this year’s most anticipated sports car was named Roadster of the Year by Auto Express Magazine and achieved 1,000 sales before it hit dealerships.

With a choice of 131ps 1.5-litre or 160ps 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol engines, the nine model all-new Mazda MX-5 range is priced from £18,495 to £23,295 on-the-road (OTR). The lightest MX-5 since the iconic original, the all-new Mazda MX-5 is shorter, lower and wider than the outgoing car, with the smallest overhangs and lowest centre of gravity yet. These dynamic proportions combined with Mazda’s KODO: Soul of Motion design philosophy ensure the latest version of the all-new Mazda MX-5’s styling reflects its focus on driving pleasure in a uniquely contemporary and dynamic way.

Reaffirming Mazda’s dominance of the affordable sports car sector, the all-new Mazda MX-5 maintains the classic rear-wheel drive layout and 50:50 weight distribution it’s famed for, yet developed under the ethos of ‘innovate in order to preserve’ , Mazda has enhanced the sports car’s legendary agility, fun and engagement, while simultaneously improving safety, refinement and efficiency.
