Mazda is targeting its biggest ever order bank for the forthcoming all-new Mazda CX-5, following the launch of its first pre-order incentive programme for dealers and customers.
With the third-generation CX-5 going on sale in early August, Mazda is rewarding dealers with higher margins for achieving their pre-order targets. To date over 600 orders have been placed.
Customers who order a new CX-5 before 31 July receive a £500 saving.
To support the initiative Mazda has nearly completed a national roadshow which will see right hand drive models visit its 108 showrooms, with customers receiving personal invitations from their local dealers to view the car.
Mazda is currently tracking a run rate of up to 10 pre-orders per dealership following these showroom visits. Overall 38% of orders have been for the top Homura trim level.

The CX-5 is Mazda’s best-selling car in the UK with over 105,000 units sold since its debut in 2012; it is also one the most popular models globally with over 5 million sales.

Mazda Motors UK Managing Director Jeremy Thomson said: “The Mazda CX-5 is a key model for our dealers, so we have worked closely with the network to build our strongest-ever order bank ahead of its launch.
“CX-5 customers are incredibly loyal, so we’re delighted that around half of all orders are from existing owners. This gives our dealers the opportunity to continue supporting those customers while self-generating part-exchanges on vehicles which in many instances they originally sold and have subsequently serviced.
“The second half of 2026 will be exceptionally busy for our dealers, as it marks the first time we have launched three all-new models – the CX-5, Mazda6e and Mazda CX-6e – within six months. It is therefore encouraging to see the CX-5 make such a strong start.”
