Stoneacre Motor Group opens two new Mazda dealerships in Yorkshire

Mazda customers in West Yorkshire will now be better served with the opening of new dealerships in Halifax and Dewsbury. Joining Stoneacre Group’s existing portfolio of six Mazda franchises in Newcastle, Gateshead, Doncaster, Harrogate, Hull and Liverpool – the new sites were officially opened this week by Mazda Motors UK, Customer Services Director, David Wilson-Green and Stoneacre Motor Group, Regional Director, Paul Vozbutas.

Commenting on the new openings, David, said: “It was a privilege to be a part of two Stoneacre Motor Group dealer openings in one night. Speaking to customers on the night and hearing the stories of how long-standing relationships keep them coming back time and again, left me reflecting on the value of the relationships the Stoneacre team have with their local community. It’s great to see and hear.”

Events held at both sites this week attended by both Mazda UK and Stoneacre staff, gave current and potential future Mazda owners and customers the chance to learn about the Mazda range and enjoy the official ribbon cutting. Commenting on their latest Mazda franchise openings, Stoneacre Motor Group, Managing Director, Shaun Foweather, said: “we were drawn to partner with Mazda in Halifax and Dewsbury because their commitment to innovation and quality aligns seamlessly with our own values. Mazda’s reputation for producing cutting-edge vehicles and their dedication to providing exceptional driving experiences makes them the perfect ally as we strive to deliver excellence to our valued customers in these communities.”

Stoneacre Dewsbury

Located on Leeds Road in Dewsbury there’s been a car showroom on the site since 1947 and now the fully refurbished location will exclusively house Mazda with 35 people working across service, parts and sales. An example of the consistency of service found with Stoneacre Motor Group, Steve Atkinson, the General Manager has worked at the site for 39 years and is relishing the new chapter with Mazda.

Stoneacre, Operations Director, Paul Vozbutas, said: “We are delighted to have further increased our Mazda presence in Yorkshire and look forward to welcoming customers old and new to these fantastic premises.  Our staff are really excited at what they have seen from the Mazda products already and are looking forward to a bright future with the Mazda brand”.

Stoneacre Halifax

In Halifax, the redevelopment of an existing Stoneacre site has seen the creation of a stunning new Mazda franchise in the heart of the town with a powerful roadside presence. With 21 staff across sales, service and parts, the new showroom is a warm and welcoming location to showcase Mazda’s range of BEV, PHEV and efficient combustion engine cars.

Commenting on the new Stoneacre sites, Mazda Motors UK, Managing Director, Jeremy Thomson, said: “I am delighted that we have grown further with Stoneacre Group who are now our largest dealer partner with eight sites in our 121-strong dealer network. They have a commitment to the relationship with our brand, and to our mutual customers who will be well served with these two significant openings. I wish them the very best for the exciting future ahead.”

Adding, “the sites in Halifax and Dewsbury join the Mazda UK network at an exciting time with new consumer offers on the Mazda MX-30 BEV, the What Car? Magazine PHEV of the Year winning Mazda MX-30 R-EV now in dealerships, plus the 2024 Mazda MX-5 and 2024 Mazda2 Hybrid arriving in March. While later in the year the new Mazda CX-80 SUV will arrive in Mazda’s UK dealerships”.
